Puerta del Sol
It is one of Madrid’s most emblematic places and the heart and hub of the transport system. At Puerta del Sol you can also see the famous statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree, designed by the sculptor Antonio Navarro Santafé, which represents the heraldic arms of Madrid’s badge. Puerta del Sol also houses the so-called “Kilometre Zero”, here since 1950, which is the central point of all Spanish radial roads.
