Dare to float

By | 2 May, 2016 | 0 comments

Enjoy moments of genuine rest during your stay in the city. Free your mind and enjoy a deeply relaxing experience. At Sens & Float you can find interesting proposals to enter a new dimension of wellness.

One of its most popular service is flotation, an anti-stress therapy that consists in leaving your body weightless, face up, in a small pool or flotarium, conveniently filled with natural salts to make your body float. During the 60-minute session, your senses are deprived to reach a Zen state of mind which, according to its website, causes a liberation of endorphins that results in physical and mental recovery.

Located just a few yards from Tirso de Molina, on Calle Relatores, 7, they also offer reiki therapies, massages and halotherapy, a curious practice that replicates the conditions of underground salt mines.

Not far from there, on Calle de la Cruz, 28, is Esenzias, a centre dedicated to treating your body and senses with its Japanese-style Onsen Spa, small and minimalist in true Zen style. Don’t miss out on its circuit, made up of five areas that include a steam bath, Jacuzzi, cold-water pool, ofuro (traditional Japanese thermal bath) and a resting area. Prices are reasonable, starting at 20 euros from Monday to Thursday and from 26 euros from Friday to Sunday. You can also add a massage for a surcharge. Find out more information here.

Lastly, visit Hamman Al-Andalus, on Calle Atocha 14, next to Plaza de Jacinto Benavente, whose location almost makes it a wellness triangle with the previous two options. If you go with your partner, you can enjoy options such as the relaxing bath for 71 euros and an optional double massage for 95 euros.

Enjoy!
