If you’re looking for something different to do in Madrid city, the Zarzuela Racecourse could be of interest. There’s a wide range of things to do and see, and you’ll be able to enjoy an entertaining and lively horse race. Which one are you going to bet on?

The races

Each day you’ll be able to enjoy 7 or 8 races on the grass track, while in the evening there are five races on the sand track. You’ll be able to enjoy the different races that are held until October, and you can take a look at the programme for the summer season.

Horse racing is pure emotion. Enjoy an exciting spectacle watching the best English thoroughbreds galloping to cross the finish line in first position. An explosion of adrenaline that will have a particularly happy ending if you are one of the lucky ones who bet on the winning horse.

Don’t worry if you don’t want to spend a lot of money because the minimum bet is only 1 euro. And if you win, you have two options: collect your winnings or reinvest in a new bet with the aim of increasing them.

Activities for children

The youngest members of the household play a leading role. Different activities are organised every weekend in the racecourse gardens. One of the most notable is the PonyTurf Club, with themed inflatables, pony rides and days with mechanical horses so that children can become real riders for a day.

Cuisine

The Zarzuela Racecourse not only allows us to enjoy an exciting horse race, but also a delicious culinary experience. There are seven food trucks with different styles of cuisine to enjoy, from the traditional calamari baguette sandwich to more American styles of food such as hot dogs or the famous bagels.

At the bars in the paddock you can have a cold beer while you enjoy the spectacle. And the icing on the cake is the Mallorca brunch, which you can enjoy every weekend from 13:00 to 16:00. It’s perfect for those who want to celebrate a special event such as a birthday or a communion.

So, go on then – which do you think will be the winning horse?
