3 plans to make in Madrid during the new normality

By | 17 June, 2020 | 0 comments

Next Monday we will finally move on to the new normality. And although we can now move on to other provinces, Madrid still offers us a wide range of cultural and leisure activities to enjoy during this phase in the city.

Day trip to Rascafría

Rascafría is one of the most beautiful municipalities in Spain and now aspires to be the best rural destination by 2020. You can reach this town by public transport or with your own vehicle. Among its main attributes are its proposals for hiking, as it is at the foot of the Peñalara massif, and its gastronomy, with seasonal products such as mushrooms and game.

The village also has a special charm with monuments and buildings of great historical and cultural value such as the Monastery of Santa María de El Paular, the Bridge of Forgiveness, the Town Hall, the Church of San Andrés Apóstol and the Sierra de Guadarrama itself in which Rascafría is located.

Rita’s lunch at Madrid’s drive-in cinema

Gastronomy, live music and street markets are what the Autocine Madrid RACE (drive-in cinema) offers us at Rita’s Lunch. You can go with friends, in couple or with the family. You will find several food trucks that will offer you food for all tastes: poke bowl, croquettes, sushi, Mexican tacos or hamburgers, among other dishes. Among the live music proposals, you will be able to dance to the rhythm of the best national and international pop-rock versions and of the current fashionable music. Remember that there is a capacity limit, so if you want to go, you have to book.

Vampire exhibition in Caixaforum

Until 6 September we can enjoy this exhibition in which we can immerse ourselves in the exciting and intriguing world of vampires. We will learn more about the history of such popular vampires as Nosferatu, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, True Blood and Twilight.

As its organisers explain, this exhibition “relates the tensions between cinema and this myth, aware of the metamorphoses of the vampire that are intrinsically linked to the transformations of film“. Remember that there will be a capacity limit and that you will have to wear a mask during the whole tour.

Three proposals that, little by little, will allow us to make those plans that we liked so much before the pandemic.
