We bring you three establishments where all three of these ingredients make the recipe for perfection. Ready to take note?

Kilómetros de Pizza

The name says it all: this restaurant serves kilometres – well, metres! – of pizza. You can order just over two metres of pizza and have it served on a board so long it is sure impress the little and not-so-little ones alike. Every half a metre is a pizza with its own flavours, including typical combinations such as ‘Prosciutto’ or ‘Barbecue’ along with less conventional toppings such as the ‘Beef sirloin’ or ‘Wild asparagus with pancetta’. Remember to leave room for their deserts, including the popular tiramisu and home-made ice creams.

Apart from serving delicious pizzas, the restaurant is perfect for the whole family, with spacious dining areas and large tables. Plus, they have plenty of high chairs to ensure you won’t be left without. But best of all, some of their restaurants provide children’s entertainment during the week.

In the heart of the vibrant Chamberí district lies Pim Pam, a gastro-bar with a welcoming, laid-back and industrial vibe. The menu features exquisite dishes such as handmade ravioli filled with foie gras and Boletus in truffle sauce, their ‘scrapyard’ omelette, lamb burger, or the scallop and prawn skewer. But aside from these gastronomic delights, the best thing about the restaurant is the Pim Pam Kids programme, running every Saturday and Sunday as from 2 pm. The restaurant hosts a variety of storytelling sessions, balloon modelling, origami, face-painting and other activities for kids aged 3 to 10. But make sure you book ahead! There are lots of families who choose Pim Pam to enjoy a leisurely meal.

More and more Vips establishments are starting to include a children’s play area to help grown‑ups enjoy a meal in peace. These areas are designed especially for the little ones to have fun and play games once they have finished their meal. The menu includes a variety of options such as salads, pizzas, burgers and sandwiches like the famous Vips Club Sandwich. If you are going for an afternoon snack, don’t miss their famous chocolate or caramel pancakes and lovely milkshakes.
