The best Indian restaurants in Madrid

By | 15 November, 2019 | 0 comments

Exotic cuisines are in fashion and, in Madrid, we can sample them without having to travel very far. One of the most popular of these cuisines is Indian, and today we’re bringing you three Madrid restaurants that you mustn’t miss if you want to experience this flavour sensation for yourself.

Comida india

Bangalore Restaurant

One of the things that often attracts us to an Indian restaurant is the atmosphere that surrounds you as soon as you step in through the door. And that’s what you’ll find in Bangalore. This modern and elegant restaurant stands out for its sophisticated and comfortable décor.

Its vast gastronomic offering includes typical lamb and chicken-based dishes and curries such as Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Madras. You’ll also find popular tandooris, biryanis and rice dishes on the menu. Additionally, there is a 35€ tasting menu that allows you to sample all of their most important dishes and a menu of the day available from Monday to Friday, which costs 14.50€ and includes a large selection of dishes to choose from.

Bangalore is a restaurant where you can enjoy the rich flavours, aromas and textures of traditional Indian cuisine.

Tandoori Station Restaurant

Located in the Salamanca district, Tandoori Station is considered one of the best Indian restaurants in Madrid.  You won’t find the usual overloaded décor often associated with these types of establishments here, instead you’ll find a charming, modern atmosphere. The menu offer quality products and traditional dishes, including tandoori meats and different types of curries (chicken, lamb and vegetable) of varying strengths from mild to very spicy.

If you want to try the best dishes this restaurant has to offer, their tasting menu offers a unique experience with every mouthful. It costs 32.50€ and includes dishes such as Pakora (vegetables in chickpea batter), Tandoori Machli (pieces of emperor marinated in traditional spices), Murghi Ka Tikka Masala (chicken cooked in a lightly spiced creamy sauce with aromatic herbs), and, to finish, Kulfi (home-made pistachio ice cream).

Benarés Restaurant

Madrid’s most exclusive offering is a branch of the well-known Indian restaurant in London of the same name. Pioneering in Indian haute cuisine and awarded a Michelin Star, Benarés is a space full of textures and exotic views of an exterior patio that will transport you to the sacred city of Benares (also known as Varanasi).

It also offers a tasting menu at a price of 55€ which includes exotic dishes such as Octopus Bhuna (octopus marinated in mustard oil and spices, potato masala and curry mayonnaise), Keralan Fish Curry (seasonal fish, Keralan sauce and grilled pak choi), the famous Chicken Tikka Masala and Bhapa Doi (frozen steamed yoghurt and roses).

Three different options that offer an authentic experience of Indian gastronomy. If you decide to sample them for yourself, we invite you to discover these fantastic offers we’ve prepared for you in our hotel.
