Three restaurants with terraces in Madrid that will surprise you

The good weather continues in Madrid. So today we have a post that we think you’ll enjoy. Three suggestions of restaurants with terraces where you can enjoy an evening with your partner or friends. Which one do you like best?

Doña Tecla

At Doña Tecla, you can enjoy an unexpected garden in the heart of Castellana. It is an oasis where you can escape, surrounded by palm trees, bamboo and olive trees. It has a chill-out area with armchairs, which, according to their website, is their customers’ favourite spot. There is also a restaurant area and a snack area with high tables next to the bar, ideal for an evening of cocktails with friends.

On the menu, you can enjoy traditional dishes such as patatas “muy bravas” with a touch of chilli or the traditional Russian salad; more exotic dishes such as fried oxtail gyozas with oriental sauce and wakame seaweed, or brioche with pulled cheek, guacamole and coleslaw; or healthier options such as artichoke confit with idiazabal sauce and crispy onion, or burrata with caramelised cherry tomato sauce and crunchy quinoa. Don’t leave without trying the tiramisu mousse with Nutella biscuit base or the homemade cheesecake with cherry jam and Amarena ice cream.

Villa Verbena

Villa Verbena is the result of the union of Grupo Triciclo and The Hat Madrid. Located in Casa de Campo, one of the largest parks in Madrid, this restaurant has a 600 m2 terrace, perfect for any celebration. It offers seasonal cuisine in a unique natural setting.

On the menu, you can’t miss the grilled wild sea bass with refried fish, grilled skirt steak with mojo sauce and roast potatoes,  grilled wild turbot accompanied by garlic and pil pil, or the European beef chop with fried potatoes. Desserts include classics such as Asturian rice pudding and crème brûlée, as well as more innovative dishes such as strawberry tiramisu and creamy chocolate, orange, oil and bread.

Belmondo

At Belmondo, you will be transported to a summer palace on the shores of Lake Garda. It has a terrace measuring 235 square metres in a secret garden full of flowers. The perfect place to experience the Italian dolce vita. On the menu you will find the most popular dishes of the Italian cuisine, all prepared with the finest Italian products.

Enjoy a delicious Neapolitan-style pizza such as the ‘Narano Vibes‘, with courgette cream, fior di latte mozzarella, courgette chips, mint cream and a hint of basil, or the ‘Shuffle Truffle‘, with a base of ricotta, tartufata sauce, mushrooms and a final touch of strawberry truffle flakes and chives. Among the pasta dishes, try the Carbomamma or the Plinpinela, plin ravioli stuffed with roast veal and pork with a pecorino cream, meat jus and hazelnuts. The dessert menu includes a traditional tiramisu. You will also find other innovative desserts such as the ‘Summer Boom Boom Ciao‘, a chocolate sponge cake with a fondant heart of cherries, whipped cream and crunchy chocolate, with a delicious surprise inside.

If you haven’t yet enjoyed these fantastic terraces in Madrid, make the most of this spring to do so.
