These are the best burgers in Madrid in 2023
If there’s one food that has broken through the fast-food barrier to become a sought-after gourmet product, it is the burger. More and more restaurants are jumping on the bandwagon and offering delicious versions of this classic. Find out which ones have won the award for the Best Burger in Madrid 2023.
The winner of this year’s edition was the American Smash 2.0 with brioche bread, homemade American sauce, three 90g patties, American cheddar cheese, sautéed onion and homemade marmalade. Another of our favourites from their menu is the Trufada, with brioche bread, two 90g smash patties, sautéed mushrooms with onion, parmesan cheese, truffle oil and their Dalú sauce. From the starter menu, don’t miss the tequeños and onion rings, and for dessert the Dalù torte, a chocolate cake with a Maria biscuit base.
The second winner is the Picanto, Briochef’s bestseller. It contains 180g of dry-aged Rubia Gallega beef, a combination of cheddar and gouda cheese, crispy bacon, bacon jam and special or hot sauce. Another of their best sellers is the Temptation, with pepper and jalapeño marmalade, breaded brie, kimchi sauce, grilled onion, dry-aged Galician Blonde beef and melted gouda cheese. For sharing, we recommend the mixed platter, which includes all the starters on the menu (tequeños, chicken wings, nachos and onion rings).
The Frankie Cheese Bacon is a double winner, being voted second in the Best Burger Delivery 2023 and third in the Best Burger in Madrid. This burger is made with 160 grams of beef, cheddar cheese, smoked bacon and Frankie sauce. To share, don’t miss the Nachos Frankie, corn chips dipped in cheddar cheese, chilli con carne, sour cream, homemade guacamole and pico de gallo.
The last on the list is the Milwaukee Burger, with a double smash burger, butter, crispy smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, pickles, cooked onions, Milwaukee sauce and potato bread with a touch of butter. This small burger restaurant in Madrid has an original menu that also includes other dishes such as the vegetarian burger and the spicy chicken sandwich. You can’t leave without trying the classic fries or the slightly spicy Milwaukee fries.
